Dear Arlene,

Gary and I want to thank you for sending us Madeleine. What a special person! She has given us lots of kindness and personal warmth and we feel blessed that she assisted Gary in so many ways; always with a smile on her face and with kind words of encouragement. There were days that Gary just felt down and I could tell that Madeleine knew she could help him perk up.

We enjoyed many meals with her and she was good company for all of us. She helped bring in the outside world to Gary by sharing her activities and stories. She took him to the gym to work out on the recumbent bike, which kept up his physical activity.

We were lucky to have Madeleine in our lives. She made us feel so special and Gary liked her very much. Both Gary and I wish her the best of luck, and we know she will be very much appreciated with her new clients.

Thank you, Madeleine.

Dear Dan,
As you know, your care givers have provided care for my wife over the last three months or so. I have spoken with you previously and indicated how pleased we all were with the compassionate care that my wife received from your folks. I just want to write you to recognize a number of your caregivers for their absolutely exceptional service.

CaregiversFirst, let me say that Betty as Nurse Case Manager was simply amazing. Betty is a beautiful person who we have known for a long time. Seeing Betty in her role as a Case Manager was awe inspiring. She is smart, sensitive, perceptive, and responsive to the clients’ needs.

Rebecca virtually became a member of our family. She established a special bond with my wife that was unique. Rebecca worked very well with our daughter in catering to her mother as she became continually less able to take care of herself.

Maria is a particularly competent and lovely woman. I had absolute confidence in her when she cared for my wife during the noc shift very near the end.

Laura, Christina and Megan were efficient, compassionate and were willing to do whatever was necessary to make my wife comfortable.

I spoke to several people in your scheduling department. They were without fail courteous and responsive. Particularly outstanding was my interaction with Paige.

In ConclusionOur family will forever be grateful for the exceptional care my wife received. We never had any doubt that your caregivers had the knowledge, commitment and training to make her last days as comfortable as possible. —Thankful Husband

Dear New Horizons,
I wanted to again than you and your wonderful staff for the excellent care and peace of mind you provided for us during a very difficult time. Alex and Jeff allowed us to actually sleep at night, knowing my Dad was being cared for. Kendrick was very helpful and provided us all with daily smiles. Jenifer went way above and beyond in caring for my Dad as well as helping my husband, son and myself in many different ways.

We are so thankful to New Horizons! Don’t know what we would have done without you! —A Loving Daughter

To the New Horizons Staff,
Thank you for the care your staff gave Mother before she passed. She enjoyed the caregivers you sent. Our only wish is that you could have cared for Mother for a long time instead of a short time. Working with you was easy.

Dear New Horizons,
Thanks for being so flexible – Mom’s needs changed so fast but you folks always made the schedule work – Thanks.

Dear New Horizons,
In the final weeks of my friend’s life, your staff was “amazing.” Each and every one of them was just what we needed and made her comfortable in those last weeks. I cannot say enough about each of them – they were awesome! —Friend of Loved One in Florence

Dear Friends at New Horizons,
On behalf of our entire family, I want to thank Marcia and the Corvallis caregivers for the wonderful care they gave our mother during her last days. We would especially like to commend Andrea (Andy), Cloe, Keira, Mary Ann, and Sheri for the patience and kindness they showed Mom as they carried out their responsibilities so competently. They were also great in working with the family as we all began gathering and hanging around near the end. They were always there to take care of Mom’s needs, but not in a way that intruded on the family. In fact, they fit with the crew quite naturally. They not only took care of Mom well; they also supported the family well. So again, thank you all. You helped make a sad and painful situation bearable.

Dear Dan,
Twenty-two months ago we involved your agency in the daily care of my mother Lillian, who suffered from long-term Parkinson’s Disease. After ‘trying out’ several caregivers provided by your schedulers, New Horizons put together a wonderful team of committed women who took on the task of doing everything for Mom and also looking after my 86-year-old father John.

As the daughter ‘in charge’ of supervising my parents’ care and also as a professional medical social worker, I have been very impressed with your scheduling staff and with the quality of your caregivers. Although my father was initially resistive to having caregivers at all, he came to appreciate their expertise in caring for Mom, who had a debilitating illness.

At the end of my Mom’s life her physical care needs became more demanding and unpleasant to perform, but all our caregivers treated her with respect, dignity, and tenderness.

Thank you
Words can’t express how grateful we are for everything you did for Sue & Dan to make their final days more comfortable.

New Horizons Staff,
My family wanted to write and tell you what loving, caring, and excellent care our mom received from her care takers, Alanna, Sara, and Lori. We’re so appreciated them and their support & care of our family. They all went above and beyond and we want to be sure you know how valuable they are as employees of your company, and how much they will be missed by our family.

To the New Horizons Staff,
We want to thank you so much for helping our father. Your skills, attention and, most of all, your gentle ways were welcome and much needed in his last days. Also, thank you for your kindness to us as we visited and phoned. Again, many thanks to all who attended Dad.

The Best Possible Care
I want to thank Paula, Bette and Jennifer for providing the best possible care for mom in the past few years. Thank you for working with us, providing guidance and positive feedback during trying times.

Wonderful Care
We would like to thank New Horizons for the wonderful care that you provided for our mother. We felt comfortable with her being in your care and know that you provided the best possible services.

I want to thank you…
I want to thank you for the care provided to mom in the later part of her life. Barbara was stellar throughout the time and mom loved her. Deb, while she was here, was next to mom’s heart. I was very pleased with Patty, Leah and Victoria at the end. When mom died Patty was in attendance and could not have been more helpful – she was wonderful!

Outstanding Caregivers,
Hope, Melissa, Cassi, and Christina were all four outstanding caregivers! Hope is wonderfully knowledgeable and caring – delightful personality! Melissa is always extremely attentive, rarely leaving Mom’s side during the night. Her comfort skills are top-notch, and she is so loving! Cassi formed a special bond with Mom and when Mom was barely communicating, Mom reached out twice, one to hug Cassi and another time to kiss her hand. Christina was so gentle and attentive to Mom over many nights, giving us comfort that Mom was in great hands. —Daughter of Client – Retired Teacher
