How often have you ever found yourself alone without any family or friends? Well, if you are 65 or under probably not often. After about age 65 people begin to have many losses, i.e. death of spouse, family in a distant state, loss of driving., etc. All these things add up and are intensified during the holidays. Our older population is a valuable resource to us and we should be nurturing them. So, if you find that you have someone in your neighborhood that is alone, take time to talk with them, or invite them to dinner and your festivities. Helping the older generations will make your life richer and give them hope and purpose!
